Attached to the Iowa, which [ is the flagship of the command ! er of the Seventh fleet, are | Seamen Edward A. Gregory, of I Cullasaja, John P. Jones, of Franklin, Route 4. and Kenneth F. Rogers, of Cullasaja. Since leaving "mothballs" to relieve her sister battleship, the USS Wisconsin, the Iowa has continued to bombard the Com munists in round-the-clock support of United Nations ground troops, the announce ment said. JFG Special in the blue and white bag. ??* S?v< po1 Co A<?e DEATH CLAIMS ALBERT RABY Macon Native Succumbs In Sylva Hospital; Rites Monday ' Albert Raby, a farmer and native of Macon County, died Saturday afternoon in a Sylva hospital at the age of 71. Funeral services were con , ducted Monday afternoon at 1 2:30 o'clock at the Cowee Bap tist church by the Rev. Norman E. Holden and the Rev. George A. Cloer. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A resident of the West's Mill community, Mr. Raby was the son of Marcus and Mrs. Patricia Shepherd Raby. He was married twice, first to the former Miss Lena Fowler, who died a num ber of years ago. and then to the former Miss Kansas Tallent. Mr. Raby was a member of the Cowee Baptist church and the Junior Order of United Amer ican Mechanics. Survivors include his widow: a daughter and three sons by his first marriage,' Mrs. Mary Frady, of Hazelwood. Claude, of Greenville. S. C., Everett, of j Franklin, Route 4. and Lyle. of Franklin: a son and daughter by his second marriage. Furman Raby. of Franklin, Route 4. and Miss Lauise Raby, of the home: a sister. Mrs. Judd Potts, of Franklin: and eight grandchil dren. The following nephews were pallbearers: Luther, Theodore. Algie. Cecil, and John Raby. and Leland Roper. Potts Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
