Mr. and Mrs. Augie Kessler have returned to Staten Island, > N. Y., after a visit with Mrs. , Kessler's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Crunkleton. Miss Kessler is the, former Miss Mildred . Crunkleton. Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Stallings, of Thomasville. Ga.. have re turned home alter a vacation spent at i t. and Mrs. Charles H. Watts' summer cottage on Cullasaja drive. This was Mr. Stalllngs' first visit back to ' Highlands in 40 years. He used to come with his father and stay at the "Hall House". Mr. Stallings said he and his father occupied the first guest cottage ever built on the Hall House grounds, and also recalled the popular square dances that were held in the "pavilion" on the Hall House property. A native of Jackson county, Mrs. McCall went to work for the highway department July 5, 1919. He has been attached to the maintenance department in this county since July. 1923. In between these years, he was engaged in the engineering and | construction phases of highway work.
