plan to . attend the National
Home Demonstration council
session in Raleigh Sunday
through Thursday.
They are Mrs. Barbara B.
Hunnicutt, assistant home
agent, Mrs. Carl Slag'.e, Mrs.
Ed McNish, and Mrs. jack Cabe.
Mrs. McNish has been select
ed to serve at a tea at the
governor's mansion during the
meeting.

participate in home demonstra
tion extension groups, which
are sponsored cooperatively in
many c>'iniies o* the nation by
tha ex._nsior. service of the
United States Department of
Agriculture, the Land Grant
college in each of these states,
and the counties in which they

Was Franklin Summer
Resident; Rites In
Tampa, Fla.
Milton Marshall Spradlin, of
Tampa, Fla., a Franklin sum
mer resident, died last Thurs
day afternoon at Angel hos
pital after an illness of about
a month. He was 59 years old. I
Funeral services for Mr,
Spradlin, who had been a sum
mer resident here since 1947,
were conducted in Tampa.
An insurance broker, he was
born May 16, 1893, the son of
W. J. and Lullie Spradlin, of
Union City, Tenn. In 11915 he
was married to Miss Georgia
Nell Burrous, of Hickman, Ky.
Surviving are his wife; a
daughter, Miss Hilda Dale
Spradlin, of Tampa and Frank
lin; and a sister, Mrs. Dell Cho
ate, of Dalton, Ga.
Local arrangements were
under the direction of Bryant
Funeral home.
