Frank Higdon Is recuperating from an attack of virus pneu monia at Angel Hospital. J. Roane Bradley Is recuper ating at his home from a heart attack, which he suffered two weeks ago. Mrs. Sam Hall received a broken leg in a fall last week and is under treatment at Angel Hospital. Mrs. Paul H. Russell has re turned to her home from Angel Hospital, where she underwent surgery. Jim Cook Dies Sunday In Ga.; Former Resident James A. (Jim) Cook, former Franklin resident, died at -Ath ens, Ga., Sunday night. Mr. Cook, who had been in 111 health for a. number of years, suffered a broken hip several months ago, and had been in the hospital since. He and Mrs. Cook, the form er Miss Nannie May (Nancy) Kinnebrew, operated the Slagle Memorial building far a number of years. Mrs. Cook died August 26, 1951.'. Mr. Cook for many years was a traveling salesman. He and Mrs. Cook made their home in Athens, Ga., until 12 or 15 years ago, when they moved to Eat onton, Ga., to operate a hotel there. They moved to Franklin about six years ago, and made this their home until Mrs. Cook's death. Funeral services were planned in Athens yesterday (Wednes day) morning, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery here yes terday afternoon.
