Holden Gets New Duty In Japan Pvt. Andrew J. Holden, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Holden, of Otto, recently began a new army assignment In Japan, the Army Home Town News Center has announced. He has taken over a post at the U. S. Army Hospital at Sesebo. Pvt. Holden entered the army in June of last year and arrived in the Far East in De cember. H. Enloe , Jr., chairman of the county Produc tion and Marketing Adminis tration committee. Mr. Enloe said this means more than Just the farmers of the county working together. The support and cooperation of all people in the county are needed. Our farms not only provide much of our food and fiber, but they are responsible for a good share of the business that keeps our towns and cities going, he said. Because the conservation of soil and water resources Is so important to all, the chairman continued, congress has provid ed the Agricultural Conserva tion Program as a means where by all share Is protecting, con serving, and improving the land. Through this program, farmers are aided in carrying out essen tial conservation practices which otherwise would be left undone. The program also pro vides a means of utilizing the lands Methodist Church, will conduct the 11 o'clock morning service Sunday at the church.
