Tal lent, of Franklin, have an nounced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Daisy Elizabeth Tallent, to William Dallas Mes ser, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Messer, of Lauada. The ceremony was performed May 4 in Walhalla, S. C., by Probate Judge R. C. Carter II. Mrs. Messer will continue her studies at Franklin High School. Mr. Messer is working on the H-bomb project in Aiken, S. C. BERRY -I) SI BELLI WED IN ALASKA Mrs. Rose Jane Usibelli and R. E. Berry, of Franklin, Route 4, were married May 18 at the Presbyterian church In Fair banks, Alaska. Following the ceremony, the couple left for a honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands. Both are civilian employes in Fairbanks. They plan to return from their honeymoon June 20 and will be at home at 130 Front Street, Fairbanks. Mr. Berry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Berry. MRS. First Postmaster Commission On Library Display The Hudson Library has on display the original commission showing the appointment of T. Baxter White as Highlands' first postmaster on November 3, 1875, signed by Postmaster General Marshall Jewell. It Is a gift to the library from Mr. White's son, Elias D. White, of California, who recently sent it to Mrs. A. C. Holt to be turned over to the library. The commission is approxi mately 14 x 16 inches In size and is framed under glass. The framing was the gift of Mrs. Holt's son, Lawrence J. Holt, of Holt's Mirror and Glass Shop.
