Community Library Now Open At Otto By MRS. W. M. PARRISH (Community Reporter* Books for the Otto Commun ity Library have been cata- j logued and are ready for use, it was announced at the last meeting of the Otto Community Development Organization. The library, in the eighth grade room of the Otto School, will be open to the public each Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 o'clock. Books and magazines are available for all ages, it was explained. Regular library rules will be observed. Books may be checked out for 14 days. Around a big bonfire, marslxmallows were toasted and games were played. W. W. Sloan, of Franklin, showed the film of activities of the various Macon communities, which he had made last year. He also gave an encouraging talk on the work, program and possibilities of rural commun ity development work. It was reported that 12 mats and two brooms had been sold by our organization In connec tion with the Lions Club broom and mat sale. Bryant McClure, president, presided. TYSINGER, Building Inspector Town of Franklin PLAN NATURE STUDY SERIES Children's Classes Will Get Under Way Tuesday Nature study classes for chil dren will be conducted again this summer by the Highlands Biological Station, as a part of its educational program, it has been announced. The classes will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 11 a. m., at the station's Museum of Natural History. The first class was held Tuesday morning. The series Is for children In the 6 to 14-year age group. For children older than 14, or for advanced children of lower age, special projects may be worked out with the curator, It was explained. Because of the cost of the visual aids used, a charge of 25 cents per admission, or $3 for season tickets, will be made, except for children of mem bers of the station or children attending the Highlands public schools. Raby have purchased the "school master's home" on the old Mor rison School property from Mrs. Harriet Echols, and Mr. and Mrs. Raby and children have moved here from Hamlet, where they had made their home for the past 16 years. Mr. Raby Is a native of this county. Vacation School At Mt. Hope Holds Commencement Commencement exercises far the daily vacation Bible school that opened June 4 at the Mount Hope Baptist church were held Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. The sessions have been held daily from 9 a. m. to noon. The faculty of the two-weeks school includes the Rev. M. C.
