MEET PLANNED TUESDAY The Macon Sub-District meet ing of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Meth odist Church will be held Tues day at the Snow Hill Metho dist Church, beginning at 10 a. m., Mrs. Roy F. Cunningham, sub-district chairman, has an nounced. All officers of the societies are urged to attend the depart mental workshop that will be held at this meeting. The house was decorated throughout with early summer flowers. The tea table was over laid with a linen cloth, center ed with a silver bowl contain ing white flowers. Anderson, of Dlllard, Ga., Route I, became the bride of James Joe Moore, Fn. U. S. N., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moore, of Franklin, Route I, Thursday, June 17, in Walhalla, S. C. The double ring ceremony was per formed by Judge R. C. Carter, II. The bride wore a sky blue linen dress with matching stole and navy and white accessories. Her corsage was a whitt orchid. An Informal reception was held at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Dave Chastain, of Dillard, Route 1. Fireman Moore will return to New York July 1, where he is now stationed. The ceremony was performed in Spartanburg, S. C., May 29. The bride wore a navy suit with navy and white accessories. Mrs. Pyatt is a graduate of Franklin High School and BUn ton'i Business College, Aaheville. is now employed by the Freight CUrlers, Inc., in AsheviUe. Mr Pyatt attended Old Fort High School and served for four years in the U. 8. Navy. He re cently received his discharge from service, and Is employed with Inland Bridge Company in Hendersonvllle. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a portrait neckline outlined with pleated tulle and appli qued with lace. The long lace sleeves ended in calla lily points over the hands. The skirt fea tured a deep scalloped tunic of lace over a bouffant skirt of nylon net which fell into a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was attach ed to a Juliet cap of lace, em broidered with seed pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls and carried a bouquet of white roses, centered with a white orchid. Miss Patti Lou Phillips, sister of the bride, was maid of hon or. She wore a floor-length gown of blue nylon net over taffeta, fashioned with a strap less bodice and matching stole. The bouffant skirt was encir cled with tiers of nylon net ruf fles extending into points mid way of the skirt. The wide belt of pleated taffeta was tied into a large bow in the back with the ends falling the length of the drew. She wore a coif cap of nylon net and lace with miniature flowers on the side. She carried a no?gay of mixed pastel flowers. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Jimmy Leach, of Greensboro, Miss Nancy Woodruff, of Nash ville, Miss flora Lou Morgan, of Maxton, and Miss Joyce Dance, cousin of the groom, of New York City. Their gowns were In rainbow colors of nlle green, ' archld, pint, and yellow, fash ioned like that of the honor at- 1 tendant, and they carried slm- 1 liar nosegays. Mrs. Biddle is a graduate of Peace College, Raleigh, and the University of North Carolina, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. The past year she has been a mem ber of the faculty of Boyden High School In Salisbury. Mr. Biddle attended East Ten nessee State College, Jolinson City, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he was a member of the Phi Gam ma Delta fraternity. He is now serving in the U. S. Army at Fort Jackson, S. C. The couple will live in Co lumbia, 8- C., for the present.
