New leaders Include Doyle McCracken, president, Roberta McCracken, vice-president, Bar bara Waldroop, secretary, and H. C. Stoudemlre, Jr., treasurer. The three senior girls of the club will serve as counselors. The main projects of the club include working on record books and a health play which will be given at a meeting of the Car son community tomorrow (Fri day) night. A prize is being of fered for the club member with the best record book. Plans also were made at the meeting for an Ice cream sup per and party at the Carson community center the last Sat urday night In September. Ad mission will be a book, which Is for the community lending li brary. The library also Is ac cepting contributions of books from individuals. 75 TURN OUT FOR MEETING By MRS. RITA C. FERGUSON (Community Reporter) A "faithful few" of 75 from a total of 60 families "strag gled" to the community meeting for a free "pitcher" show Mon day night. Very little business was car ried on. Mrs. Jack Cabe led the group in prayer. Mrs. Mary B. Justice agreed to be the "brady" of the com munity and make pictures of the improvements. Walter Hall was hired to repair and repaint the entrance signs to the com munity, which have been torn down. A. W. Edmlston spoke to the group on the beauty of the mountains of Western North Carolina, especially those la Macon County.
