Bowers Back On Duty After Leave Home Airman 1/c Edward Bowers, veteran of 34 months overseas with the U. S. Air Force, has returned to duty at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, fol lowing a 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bowers, of Cullasaja. As a communications machine operator, Airman Bowers saw duty in England, North Africa, and Scotland while overseas. On several leaves, he visited in Germany, France, Denmark, and Ireland. Only two years ago, aluminum hardware was something of a rarity. Today, 10 percent of build ing hardware is made of the light metal and this figure is expected to keep growing.
