The Christmas motif was used in the decorations. Coffee, sandwiches, and cake were served. Edwin T. Williams, president of the local N.C.E.A., headed the receiving line. The welcoming committee included Mrs. Fred Arnold, Mrs. Theodore Kiser, Mrs. Bob Waldroop, and Jack Angel. Mrs. Edwin T. Williams and Mrs. John Cogan poured cof fee. Others assisting in serving were Mrs. Betty Sijttle, Miss Wilma Renshaw, Mrs. Prelo Dryman, Miss Ethel Hurst, Mrs. John Bulgln, and Mrs. Bob Sloan. On a short program, Mrs. Ted Reber gave a humorous Christ mas reading, Mrs. Bryan Hatch ett sang, "O Holy Night", and Mrs. Margaret Cooper played several piano selections. Mr. McSwain read a poem, "Christ mas Wish". Group singing of Christmas carols, led by Mrs. J. A. Flanagan, ended with the singing of "Silent Night". Approximately 100 were pres ent. Miss Edith Willis, a nurse at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer A. Jones. Miss Audrey Conley, of Raleigh, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Conley. Mr. and Mrs. R. L.
