The tree was moved in an up right position wiili the aid of a bulldozer owned by Don Watson. Ropes were tied around the tree near the top and it was balanced while being moved approximately 50 feet. Keener Takes Part In Japan Joint Maneuver Pvt. Henry J. Keener, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Keener, of Highlands, recently participated in "Operation Tomahawk", an army-navy airborne maneuver in. Japan, the Army Home Town News Center announced this week . His unit, the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, para chuted to its target and simulated the capture of an airfield and the destruction of a missile launching site. The troops then withdrew to the seashore for evacuation by the navy. Pvt. Keener, a rifleman in Com pany F. has been in service since May, 1953, an(i joined the 187th the following December. Is Vt cup beef consomme cap soy sauce X tablespoon sugar Cut meat crossgrain into pa per-thin slices. Heat olive oil in skillet. Add meat and saute until browned. Add vegetables; cover and saute about 5 minutes, stir ring frequently. Pour in com bined beef consomme, soy sauce and sugar. Mix well. Cook un covered over low heat 15 min utes, or 'intil vegetables are just tender. Makes 6 servings. Watson Barratt Goes To Hollywood For Job Watson Barratt, Broadway the atrical designer and owner of the Bascom -Louise Hotel in High lands, has been called to Holly wood by Edwin Lester to work on an operetta. Mr. Lester produced "Kismet" and "Peter Pan", with Mary Mar tin. and he plans to open the spring season with the operetta. Mr. Barratt just recently de signed the production of Saroyan's "Time of Your Life", in New York CiM He plans to return to Ne?.'
