News about PEOPLE Phone 24 MISS MORRISON WEDS NELSON EUGENE STAMEY Miss Eddls Jean Morrison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Har ley R. Morrison, of near Frank lin, became the bride of Nelson Eugene Stamey, son of Mrs. N. V. Stamey, and the late Mr. Stamey, of Franklin, Friday, July l, at 2 p. m., at t#ie home of the hrlde. The Rev. W. N. Cook perform ed the double ring ceremony. The bride wore a light blue linen suit with white accessor ies. Her corsage was of pink carnations. Mrs. Stamey Is a graduate of Franklin High School, and is now employed by Western Car olina Telephone Company. Mr. Stamey is a graduate of i Franklin High School, and Is employed at Angel Hospital. After a wedding trip to Day tona Beach, Fla., the couple is living in Franklin. MISS BRYSON .MARRIES GARDNER VANCE HOLDEN Miss Mary Louise Bryson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fernell Bryson, of Franklin, be came the bride of Gardner j Vance Holden, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Norman E. Holden, of Franklin, July 10, at 5 p. m. at the home of. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt B. Bryson, .brother and sister- 1 in-law of the bride. The house was decorated with white gladioli, baby's breath, and sweet peas, with greenery. The Rev. M. W. Chapman, pastor of the First Baptist Church, performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Hoyt B. Bryson present ed a program of wedding music. The couple entered .the room together. The bride wore a white ballerina-length dress of I nylon lace over taffeta, design ed with a high neck, short sleeves, fitted bodice with small covered buttons, and full skirt. Her fingertip veil of bridal il lusion was attached to a lace covered headband trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with white gardenias and baby's breath. Immediately following the ceremony, the couple left on a wedding trip. For traveling, the bride wore a light blue faille suit with white accessories and the gardenia corsage detached from her Bible. Upon their re turn, they will live in Frank lin. Mrs. Holden is a graduate of Franklin High School and Berea College, Berea, Ky., with a B. S. degree. She now teaches at East Franklin School. Mr. Holden is a graduate of Swain High School, Bryson City. He served during World War XI In the Pacific theatre. He is now in the active reserve and holds the rank of captain. He is associated with the B. F. Goodrich Company in Franklin. Mr. and .Mrs. Hershel Keener, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sanders and two children, and Miss Pat Neal, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy McKay, Mr. and Mrs. George Roper, and Mr. ? and Mrs. Sam Gibson, spent last week vacationing in Day tona Beach, Fla. Mrs. Jack Cabe and two daughters, of Brevard, spent last week here with her grand mother, Mrs. R. L. Bryson. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Petrozzi and two children, of Brilliant, Ohio, left Monday after a two week visit with Mrs. Petrozzi's mother, Mrs. J. S. Womack. Mrs. Jack Lever and three children, of Washington, D. C., are here visiting her mother, Mrs. Elsie Franks. Mrs. C. E. Zackary and two grandchildren, Riley and Terrie Lee Cleveland, of Rosman, visit ed Mrs. Zachary's niece, Mrs. Harry Higgins, and Mr. Hlggins, Saturday. Mrs. J. E. S. Thorpe spent the July 4th week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Thomasson in Sapphire. Mr. and Mrs. R. N: Garner and family, of Winston-Salem, visited Mr. Garner's mother, Mrs. C. L. Garner, and his sister, Mrs. Charles Nolen, and | .Mr. Nolen, recently. On their return to Winston-Salem, they were accompanied by Mr. Gar ner's mother for a two weeks' visit there. Mrs. James R. Dance and children, of Canoga Park, Calif., are here visiting Mrs. Dance's mother. Mrs. Lucille Angel, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hauser and two children, of Spartan burg, S. C., are spending the summer at the Hauser home on the Georgia Road. Miss Fannie Conley recently spent a few days in Atlanta, Ga., visiting friends.
