New Chemical Products Bring Poison Hazards The thousands of chemical products developed to make life simpler may only complicate It unless used with care and in telligence, the Medical Society of the State of North Carolina warns. Based on information com piled by the committee on toxi cology of the American Medical Association, State Medical So ciety officials called attention to the fact that there are about a quarter of a million brand name chemical products which may be used in the home farming and industry. i All of them may be useful ? but handled improperly the> may become killers, cripplers and destroyers of property. Understanding of the use! and potential dangers of the wealth of products available Is needed to prevent the estimated i 3,300 accidental poison deaths I which result each year from misuse of chemicals. The array is so large and so many combinations of chemic als are possible that no com plete catalogue of all available products has been made, the committee said.
