over Saturday night at a cover
ed dish supper
The event will l>e held at the
school at 7 o'clock.

Purposes of the supper meet
ing are listed as: to help resi
dents become better acquaint
ed; to work toward making East
Franklin the "cleanest neigh- '
borhood in N. C."; and to dis- ,
cuss plane for beautifying the
school.
MUSIC CLUB MEETING
The Franklin Music Study
Club will meet Thursday,
March 22, at 8 p. m., at the
home of Mrs. Weimar Jones,
with Mrs. W. L. Nothstein as
joint hostess.
First Spaniards
Visit Coweeta
The Coweeta Hydrologic Lab
oratory has attracted visitors
from many parts of the world,,
but this week it is host to its
first visitors from Spain.
Observing the water and for
est experiments under way at
Coweeta are Caesar Peraza and
Louis Romero, Spanish forestry
engineers. They are in this
country for study, under aus
pices of the International Co
operation Administration.
The Spanish foresters, who
have been in the United States
for the past two and a hall
months, arrived here last Fri
day from. Columbia, S. C., and
left yesterday for Asheville.
They will return to Spain after
another three or four weeks'
study in this country.
