Doyle Miller, who has held pastorates In the Hay wood Baptist Association for the past IS years, has been called as full-time pastor of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. He will assume his duties on September 1. Mr. Miller Is a past moderator Mr. Miller and vice-moderator of the Hay wood association and once served as superintendent of evangelism. He served the Dutch Cove and Calvary churches full-time and several others on a part-time basis. Mr. and Mrs. Miller have six children, Howell, Carolyn, Fain, Jimmy, and Mary and Martha, 1 twins. FULTON DIES FRIDAY Was Farmer-Teacher; Services Conducted At Bethel Church John Henry Pulton, 89, farmer and teacher here, died Friday (Au gust 24) at 12:05 a. m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Myrtle P. Keener, on Franklin. Route 5. Funeral services ror Mr. Fulton, who had been ill two years, were conducted the following afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Sugarfork Baptist Church. Officiating was the Rev. Robert L. Polndexter. I Burial was In the church cemetery. Mr. Fulton was born December 16, 1866. the son of R. King and Mrs. Carolyn Sanders Pulton. He was a member of the Bethel Meth odist Church and on January 3, 1900 was married to Miss Laura Jane Higdon, who died In 1950. In addition to Mrs. Keener, he (s survived by two other daugh ters. Mrs. T. T. Henderson and Mrs. Pritchard Peek, both of Franklin, Route 5; a son. Mack Pulton, of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Troy Shook, Mack Norris, Wiley Clark, William rilson, J. T. McCoy, and Les Keener. Bryant Funeral Home was In :harge of arrangements. All-Guest Program Features Meeting Of Music Club An all-guest program featured the meeting of the Franklin Music Study Club at its meeting last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Allen Siler. Mrs. S. B. Moss was co-hostess. Appearing on the program were Miss Freda Siler, who played two piano solos, ,-Impromptu". by Schubert, revised by Liszt, and "Prelude No. 4", by Chopin; Mrs. E. R. Kinnebrew. of Memphis, Tenn., sang a group of French songs and a few contemporary se lections, with Mrs. Weimar Jones, accompanist; Miss Libby Murray, of Gastonia. played a piano solo, "Prelude No. 2.
