H. MORGAN SUCCUMBS AT NANTAHALA Macon Native Wai 56; Services Held Monday At Union Hill Church A native of this county, Julius H. Morgan, died Sunday about noon at his home In the Nanta hala section. Fifty-six years old, he had been in declining health for several years. Funeral services were conduct ed at 2:30 Monday at the Union Hill Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Glen Dills officiated and burial was In the church cemetery. A fanner, Mr. Morgan was the son of the late Andrew and Mrs. Addie Prince Morgar. He was born September 22. 1899. In 1923 he was married to Miss Evla, Dills, who survives. Other survivors include four sons, Doyle and Andy, of Nanta hala, and Don and Ray, of High : Point; six daughters, Mrs. Chris I tine Mason, Mrs. Carmel Cope and Misses Reva, Juanita, and Angela Morgan, all of Nantahala and Mrs. Faye Selby, of Detroit Mich.; two brothers. Garland Morgan, of High Point, and Leon ard Morgan, of Jamestown; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Passmore, of Nantahala, and Mrs. Margaret Mason, of Topton; and 11 grand children. Pallbearers were Hershel Mason, Ben Morgan, Oscar Passmore, Avery Dills', Clint, Grant, and R. j. Cope. Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. FNS Heart Attack Claims Life Of S-Sgt. Wilkie A heart attack In Milford. Del., on September 10 claimed the life of S/Sgt. William Walden Wilkie. a former Franklin resident. He was serving in the U. S Air Force at Dover Air Force Base, Del., at the time of his death. He also held an off-the-oase civilian job as manager of the Milford Bureau of the Delaware State News. Funeral services for S/Sgt. Wil kie. 37. were conducted on the 15th ait the First Baptist Church here by the Rev. M. W. Chapman the Rev. A. Rufus Morgan, and the Rev. S. B. Moss. Graveside military honors were accorded i S/Sgt. Wilkie by a detachment of men from Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenville, S. C. Prior to the shipment of the body here, memorial services were conducted on the 13th at Dover. ? Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Wilkie, he was graduated in 1939 from Franklin High School, where he lettered in foot ball. On graduating, he enlistee1 I [in the U. S. Navy, serving as a flight engineer in the Pacific th? 1 atre during World War II. He was j discharged in 1946. but was re-| ^called to active duty in 1950 ami | at that time entered the U. S" Air Force. While stationed in L<ondon. England, from 1950-1953. he met and married Miss Elsie May, a native of Liverpool, Eng land. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Carol. Dorothy, Diane, and Rosalyn; two brothers. Henry and Howard Wil kie; and three sisters. Miss Flora Wilkie, Mrs. G. C.
