Miss Huscusson Weds Herandez Miss Ellen Frances Huscusson became the bride of Mario Heran dez in a double-ring ceremony at the Cartoogechaye Baptist Church Sunday evening, September 2, at 5 o'clock. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Huscusson, of Franklin. Route* 1, and the groom Is the son of Ziola and Veliijo Herandez, of Mozatenango, Guatemala. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Andrew Cloer, pastor of the church, before an altar decorated with native greenery, fern, and baskets of white hydran geas and other garden flowers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length princess-style gown ot antique taf feta with long, fitted sleeves, end ing In points over the wrists. Her flngertlp veil of nylon illusion was attached to a cap of pleated taf feta. Her only ornament was a single strand of baby pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses with satin streamers. Mrs. Robert Wentzel, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a heavenly blue baller ina-length dress of crisp shadow sheer dacron, fashioned like that of the bride. Her headpiece was of matching material and she carried a nosegay of mixed flowers with satin streamers. The bridesmaids. Miss Joan Hopkins and Miss Sue Solesbee, wore dresses fashioned like that of the honor attendant in gold and pink with matching headpieces. Their nosegays were of mixed flowers with white streamers. Hubert Walker, of Old Port, served as best man. Ushers were John Huscusson, brother of the bride, and Robert Wentzel, broth er-in-law of the bride. Mrs. Herandez is a graduate of Franklin High School and attend ed Western Carolina College, Cul lowhee. Mr. Herandez is a graduate of the National School of Agriculture In his country. He attended West ern Carolina College and N. C. State College, Raleigh, and Is now enrolled at the University of Flor ida, Gainesville. She is a graduate of Franklin High School. The groom is now serving with the U.' S. Navy as gunner's mate second class, stationed at Great Lakes, 111. After a short wedding trip through the state, the couple will be at home in Great Lakes. Miss Roselee Woody Weds Boyd Barnes Miss Roselee Woody, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Woody, of Franklin, Route 3, became the bride of Boyd Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Barnes, of Frank lin, on August 16 In Hiawassee. Oa. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. K. Homecoming Set At Windy Gap Homecoming will be observed Sunday at the Windy Gap Baptist Church with preaching in the morning and the gathering of a singing convention in the after noon, according to the pastor, the Rev. C. C. Welch. The program will open at 10 a. m. with selections by the church choir and a prayer by the Rev. N. E. Holden. At 10:30, Mr. Welch will speak on "My Church". At 11. the Rev. Wayne K. George Hunnicutt Leaves To Enter Veterinary School George Hunnicutt, dairy farmer and instructor with the veteran's farm training program here, left Saturday for Athens where he is entering the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia. Earlier In the year. Mr. Hunni cutt sold his Grade A dairy farm and stock in preparation for re turning to college this fall. He was a member of the Frank lin Rotary Club and active In chic and church work. His wile is the former Mies Barbara Brown, of Dfflard, Oa.: who served as an assistant hone agent here for several rears. They have two children.
