Funeral services for Mrs. Tallent were conducted last Friday, with ;he Rev. Manuel C. Wyatt, pastor if Mrs. Tallent's church, offici ating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Robby Roper, Harvey Roper, Alga Carr, Arvil Carr. John Tallent. and Fred Willis. Surviving Mrs. Tallent are ! three sons, Hiram, and Derrell. ooth of Franklin, Route 3, and S/Sgt. Cancer Unit Here Meets Tomorrow; Movie To Be Shown A discussion of cancer and the showing of a movie will be the highlights of a meeting of the county unit of the American Can cer Society tomorrow (Friday' afternoon at 2 at the Agricultural Building. The local unit commander, Mrs Lester Conley, announced that Miss Betsy Lane Quinlan, of Waynesville, a field representa tive, will be on hand to lead the discussion. The movie is entitled "Two Cells", and according to Mrs. Conley, is suitable for both young and old. DALTON , AT AGE 69 Services For Macon Native Held Tuesday At Holly Springs Mrs Nancy Ivalee Hurst Dalton. , a native of this county, who , would have celebrated her golden , wedding anniversary this year, died Sunday at her home on Franklin. Route 4. She was 89 years old. She had been ill for three weeks. Mrs. Dalton was the daughter of John and Laura Oreene Hurst, bom Sept. 2, 1887. On April 7. 1907, she was married to Fred Dalton. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Dal ton were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at Holly Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church ceme tery. The Rev. Doyle Miller and the Rev. Paul Heafner officiated. Pallbearers were Paul and Owen Ammons. W. G. Crawford, Rogers Amnions, Walter Taylor, and Woodrow Franklin. | Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Don. of Maryville, Tenn., and Woodrow, of the home: three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Shepherd, of Frank lin, Route 4. News About PEOPLE Mrs. Ylantha Nilson. of Bartow I Fla., and her sister, Mrs. N. H. Sooy, of Kansas City, Mo., have left for Bartow, after visiting Mrs. H. C. Allan. Sr., for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Don Morgan, in High Point. James and Johnny Bateman have returned to their home in Kyle from Pittsburgh. Pa., where they have been employed.
