In street clothes, or general wear, Mrs. Anna Ledford, of Pat ton 'club, modeled a black sheath dress made from rayon linen with white collar. She was awarded first place. Mrs. George Gibson, of Iotla club, was awarded second place, and Mrs. Charles Williamsi. of Holly Springs club, third place. $4.55 Coat In tailored suits and coats, Mrs. Boyd Burrell, of Iotla, modeled an all-weather coat which cost $4 55. Mrs. Burrell's coat was lined with red Mlllium. She was award ed first place. Mrs. Earl Justice, of Holly Springs, won second place. Miss Joan Curtis of Upper Cartoogechaye, modeled a suit made by her mother. She won third place. In the best dress group. Mrs. A. D. Carter, of Higdonville, won first place with a dress and duster of turquoise which she designed. She used a large collar with lace from an old dress. The outfit cost less than $5 and she was awarded first place. Mrs. Bryan Setser. of Sandtown, won second place. Mrs. Bob Parker, of Cartooge chaye, won third place. Moseley. a staff member of Angel Hospital, since last fall, is in Atlanta this week for a post-graduate course on blood. Dr. Moseley is studying diseases of the blood and complete trans fusions. The latter subject deals with the Rh factor and involves the substitution of all new blood for that in the patient's system. The course was held yesterday (Wednesday) and today at Emory University. DR. WALKER AT COWETA Dr. Laurence C. Walker, a professor In the University of .Georgia's School of Forestry, visited Coweta Hydrologic Lab oratory last week end. Dr. Walker will work with the lab oratory during the summer on a project which relates maxi mum timber harvest to the proper amount of water retain ed on the soil. He will move to Coweta June 3. Week's Work Brings $1,250 In Memberships A week's work has raised mare than $1,250 of the Frank lin Chamber of Commerce's 1957 membership goal of $4,500. J. C. Crisp is chairman of the annual campaign. The chamber's goal this year is a record figure. It earmarks $1,000 for tourist promotion alone. Also now under way is the revision of the chamber's ac commodations folder, which lists restaurants, motels, tourist homes, and other businesses. Under new policy this year, non-chamber members must pay a listing fee. In the past, their businesses have been list ed along with those of dues paying members, according to Mrs. Lasca E.
