On Friday night. Misses Nancy and Jean Sutton and Miss Martha Womack entertained at the Slagle Memorial Building with a trous seau shower for Miss McCollum. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out in the re freshments and decorations. Miss Nancy Sutton kept the bride's book and presided at the punch bowl and Miss Womack served cake. Mrs. McNeil is a graduate of WesU-m Carolina College and teaches in the Gastonia city school system. Mr. McNeil is a graduate of Charlotte Central High School. Average Reach r Checks Out 15 Volumes From Library The average person using the "Franklin Library in the past yeai checked out 15 , books. But, according to the library's : figures, only about one in every j 10 Maconians uses the public library. These and other statistics are ' covered in the annual report com- 1 piled by Mfs. Frank I.
