Wilson, of Fletcher, and Gordon Talley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lean Talley, of Highlands, was solemnized Sept. 6 at 7 o'clock on the lawn at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs Carrie Hepler, near Asheville. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. R. Bart lett, pastor of the Olive Baptist Church. Miss Margaret Kirstein, cousin of the bride, presents the wedding music. The bride wore a suit of powder blue with white accessories. Her attendants were Miss Louise Moore. Miss Stella Silvers, and Miss Frankie Kirstein. cousin of the bride. Sharon Jenkins was the flower girl. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Charles Talley. Immediately following the cere- 1 mony an informal cake cutting was given in the home of Mrs. Hepler. Mrs. Lewis Talley, sister in-law of the groom, and Mrs. Ted Crunkleton, sister of the groom, served the cake. Mrs. Mary Wil son. sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Sidney Moore served the punch. Following a short wedding trip. Mr. and Mrs. Talley will make their home in Highlands. SUNDAY AT UNION ? Miss Johnson Weds Prelo Crawford Miss Mary Johnson, daughter of Homer Johnson and the late Mrs. Johnson, and Prelo Craw ford son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Crawford were married Sunday. Sept 8, at the Union Methodist Church. The Rev. Glenn Anderson offi ciated. using the double ring cere mony The wedding music was presented by Mrs. Hoyt Bryson. pianist, and Kenneth Crawford, vocalist. The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother-in-law. Robert Parker, wore a ballerina length dress of chantilly lace over taffeta with a scalloped neck line ?nd fitted bodice. Her finger tip veil was attached to a head dress of matching lace and sho carried a prayer book with a white orchid. Miss Beatrice Johnson, sister of the bride, served as maid of hon or and wore a ballerina length dress of aqua net over taffeta with a matching headdress. She car ried a nosegay of pink carnations. Eugenia Parker, niece of the bride, was flower girl, and wore white and pink nylon over organ dy, and carried a basket of pink carnations. Neal Parker, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. George Crawford was best man and ushers were Bruce and Bert j Crawford, all brothers of the j bridegroom. After a wedding trip through parts of the midwest the couple TWO ARE HONORED | AT SHOWER EVENT A joint miscellaneous shower was held last Thursday afternoon at the Cartoogechaye Community Building honoring Miss Mary Johnson, bride-elect of Prelo Craw ford. and Mrs. Hoyt Brookshire. the former Miss Hazel Vinson. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. W. N. Dalrymple. Mrs. Clif ford Dalrymple, Mrs. Kennetn Crawlord. Mrs. Wayne Harrison. Mrs. Cecil Parker and Mrs. Mack Neely. Class of '56. and for the past year has been employed by the Bell Tele phone Company in Atlanta. Ga. Mr. Sessions is a graduate of the Conway High School and alsj is employed in Atlanta. Clark-Hall Wedding Is Solemnized Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, of East Franklin, have announced ?he wedding of their daughter. Miss Elizabeth Ann Clark, to Jud son Hall, son of Mr. and 'Mrs. Boise Hall, of Franklin, Route 5, on Aug. 25 at the Oak Grove Bap tist Church.
