Mrs. Wilson, 74, Succumbs February 19 At Her Home Mrs. Beulah Scott Conley Wil son, wife of Johnny E. Wilson, died February 19 at her home on Franklin, Route 1 (Pat ton com munity). Seventy-four years old, sne had been ill for two months. Funeral services for Mrs. Wil son, a native of Burke County, were held the 22nd at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church, of which she had been a member since Sept. 19, 1920. Officiating were the Rev. J. R. Willis, the Rev. Olenn Anderson, and the Rev. Arvel Swafford. Burial was in the church cemetery. Born Nov. 12, 1883. she was the daughter of Sidney B. and Mrs. Laura DeVault Scott. She was twice married, first to Jonas Lu cius Conley, v diefi in 1932. and then to Ik. Wilson, of this county, who survives. Th<jy were married April 2, 1934. Other survivors include two sons, Joe Conley, of Franklin, Route 1, and Charlie W. Conley. of Salem, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Passmore, of Trinity, Route 1, and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, of Franklin. Route 1; two bro thers. Frank P. Scott, of Olen Alpine, and J. W. Scott, of Leivis ton; . three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wills Patton, of Morganton, Mrs. Two Macon Students | Make Dean's List At Pfeiffer College Two students from Macon Coun- 1 ty made the dean's list at Pfeiffer . College for the fall-winter semes- 1 ter, according to an announce- 1 ment from the college. They are Misses Nancy Carol i Sutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.! C. C. Sutton, of Clark's Chapel, and Joan Thomas, daughter of J. Harry Thomas, of Franklin. Both girls are freshmen and are majoring in social studies. Kate Patton, of Virginia, and Mrs. Victoria Densmore, of Hawaii; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ? Miss Holbrook, Maconian, Succumbs At Age Of 81 Miss Moore Marries Claude Buchanart Miss Dorothy Lorene Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Har old Moore, and Claude Buch anan, son of Mrs. Jeff Buch anan and the late Mr. Buch anan, of Cullowhee, were mar ried February 22 in Walhalla, S C. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brookshlre. The bride wore a navy blue suit with blue and white acces sories. She is a graduate of Franklin High School and Oreenville (8. C.) General Hos pital School of Nursing. A reg istered nurse, she Is now em ployed at C. J. Harris Com munity Hospital in Sylva.
