Rufus Morgan was guest speaker at the regular meeting of the Franklin Garden Club held last Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Gilmer A. Jones. The subject of Dr. Morgan's talk was, "Flowering Shrubs and Fecns", in which he gave the club members many helpful hints on the glowing and care of their gar den shrubs and ferns, based on his many years of experience in his own garden and in the woods where he has spent much time studying wild shrubs and ferns. Mrs. Florence S.^Sherrill, home economics agent, gave a short talk in presenting a plan for a committee to be formed from vari ous civic organizations with the cently in Baltimore, Md., visiting Mrs. Krickbaum's sister, Mrs. William Glvens, and family.
