Services Are Held For Setser Infant ' Funeral services for Douglas Setser. four-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Setser, of Frank lin, Route 1, were held Tuesday at the Carson Chapel Methodist Church. The infant was found dead in bed Monday morning by Mrs. Set ser. Death was attributed to nat ural causes. Mr. Setser is In the U.S. Navy in Boston, Mass. Surviving, in addition to the parents, are two brothers. Charles Lee and Eddie, of the home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and VI rs. These district Judges and the magistrates under them would be appointed by tlje Chief Jus tice of the Supreme Court, from among nominees submitted to him by the resident superior court judge. Under this unified court plan, the administrative officer of the entire court system would be the chief justice, who would be given authority to assign judges and supervise the courts of the state. GIBSON AT HER HOME Hiaw&isee Native Was 78; Services At Sugarfark Mrs. Hattie Jane Gibson, wife of Alex Gibson, 'of Franklin, Route 5. died Saturday. January 10, at 10 pjn. at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Gib son, who was 78, were held the afternoon of the 12th at the Sugarfork Baptist Church by the Rev. R. D. Fringers and the Rev. Frank Holland. Burial was in the church cemetery. Born March 23, 1881, she was Lh? daughter of Lewis and Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Sorrells. ,of Hiawassee, Ga. She was a member jf the Well's Grove Baptist church and was married April 17, 1898, to Mr. Gibson, who survives. Pallbearers were Sherman Mc Clure, Grovei Sorrells. Grover \ngel, Branson Barrett. George Barrett, and Claude Gibson. In addition- to her husband, surviving are a' son. Frank Gibson, of Route 5; five sisters, Misses Delma Gibson. Dollie Gibson, Lola Gibson, Ada Gibson, and Iva Lee Gibson; a sistter. Miss Sallie Gib son, of Route 5; seven grandchil dren; and seven great-grandchi! dren. Potts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Girls Win, Boys Split Their Games Franklin High's lassies won both their games the past week, while the lads divided theirs. In Cullowhee Friday night, the girls chalked up a 61 to 56 victory. The boys came out on the short 2nd of an 80 to 54 score. Tuesday night in the first home same of the new year, Webster owed to the locals, the girls winning 79 to 29 and the boys 56 to 31.
