MISS MARGARET ANNA SETSER'S WEDDING ANNOUNCED BY PARENTS Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lee House Mr. and Mrs. Giilmer Setser, of Franklin, Route 1, have an nounced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Margaret Anna Setser, to Aubrey Lee House, of Atlanta, Ga? on October 17, 1958, at the St. John's Episcopal Church. Dr. A. Kufus Morgan, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony before the altar decorated with native greenery and baskets of white gladolia and lighted candles. Traditional wedding music was presented by Miss Sally Kesler. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white lace over satin, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and a full skirt ending In a short train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was at tached to a head piece of match ing lace, embroidered in seed pearls and sequins. She carried a white prayer book topped with a 1 ?white orchid and showered with satin ribbon and tuberoses. The bride's mother chose for her daughter's wedding a street length dress of rose lace over rose taffeta, with black accessories, and her corsage was of white carnations. The groom's mother wore a streetrlength dress of grey, with black accessories, and her corsage was of White carnations. Following the ceremony, a wedding cake was cut at the home of the bride. Mrs. House is a graduate of Franklin High School and was graduated from the Georgia Bap tist Hospital School of Nursing May 26. 1959. She is now em ployed on the staff at Georgia Baptist Hospital. Mr. House was graduated from Oakley High School. Biltmore, and attended Berea College, Berea, Ky. He served three years in the United States Marine Corp., and is now employed as an assistant manager of F. W. Woolworth Company, in Atlanta. - The couple is now residing at 813 Springdale Road N.E. Atlan ta. Ga. MRS. NORTON MARRIES DOWDLE Mrs. Irene Norton, of Frank lin, Route 4, and Howard S. Dowdle, GM2. of the U. S. Navy, were married May 17 in Wal halla, S. C. Mrs. Dowdle is the daughter of iradell Hurst and the late Jennie V. Dalton Hurst, of the Cowee community . The bridegroom is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Dowdle, of Franklin. After the wedding, they left for a short wedding trip to Ida Carson Beach, Ga. Mr. Dowdle will return to duty aboard the USS Forrestal in Norfolk, Va., June 1. Mrs. Dowdle will remain in Franklin. MISS ELSIE HURST WEDS J. E. HURST Miss Elsie Sue Hurst and James Edward Hurst were mar ried May 4, 1959, in Walhalla, S. C. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Iradell Hurst, of Cowee community, and the bridegroom is the son of Hrs. and Mrs. William R. Hurst, of North Vernon, Ind. On their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Hurst, visited his par ents in North Vernon. They are working in Highlands and are making their home there. News About People Mrs. O. W. Mrs. George Dills MISS DENTON WEDS DILLS MAY 7 IN BRYSON CITY Miss Lona Ray Denton, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Denton, and George Dills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dills, were married Thursday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. by The Rev. Mrs. Dill? is at the present mak ing her home with the groom's parents, while her husband is sta tioned with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Tex. The guest speaker was the Rev. Robert R. Standley, pastor of the First Baptist Church. The in vocation and benediction were given by the Rev. Paul Heafner. pastor of Snow Hill Methodist Church. Linda Leatherman was valedic torian. The salutatorian was Tommie Jenkins, and the histor ian was her twin sister. Bobbie Jenkins. The Class Prophecy was given by Max Clark.
