Brady's BLARNEY By A Brmdj Called J. F. Call this the dilemma of the Smoky Mountain Cloggers, if you will, for their situation certainly fails into this category. The young dancers, who brought fame to Macon County two years ago when appearing on the Ed Sulliran show, have a once-ln-a lifetime chance to go to Holly wood, aad from there possibly on to greater things. Only one thing stands in their way. Money. It'll take about $350 per child to put them on the West Coast and in the office of several movie studios and TV agents who are interested in their talent. This is not idle chit-chat. It's fact. The young talent scout. Bob Cox. who put the Cloggers on the Sullivan show, has letters from several of his West Coast contacts, indicating an Interest in the dance team for maybe a movie or one shot appearances on TV shows like Wagon Train. Have Oun-Will Travel, and Cimarron City. The problem is getting the Cloggers to the coast just as soon as school is out. Not one to mince words, and yet one who has shown he knows what he's talking about and can come up with the answers. Mr. Cox says he's convinced he could "sell" the Cloggers to Hollywood if he could got them there. Personally, I believe him, be cause I have as much faith in the young dancers as he has. In ad dition, I've got a lot of faith in Bob Cox's ability. But, there's that Big IF staring us in the face; IF we could raise the $350 per Clogger to get them * House Wiring * Electric Heat Installations * Electrical Repairs * Free Estimates. 1 ? James P.
