Miss Nancy Josephine Smith Become Bride Of Charles Thomas Saturday Miss Nancy Josephine Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Milton Smith, of High Point, be came the bride of John Charles Thomas, son of J. Harry Thomab. and the late Mrs. Thomas, of Franklin, in a ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in High Point last Saturday evening. Dr. Roy Watts, pastor of the church, officiated, and wedding music was presented by Henry Whipple, church organist. The altar was decorated with floor baskets of mixed white flowers and white candles in branched candelabra. The bride, who was given In marriage by her father, wore a gown of silk organza and Alencon lace, fashioned with boat . nec line and yoke of Alencon la( applique. The bouffant skirt e tended from a Basque bodice an had matching appliques of lac and a butterfly back bustle. Hi tiered veil of illusion was attache to a tiara of seed pearls. SI: carried a bouquet of Frenche carnations and gypsophila cente ed with a white orchid and sho\ ered with white satin streamer Miss Mary Ellen Loftis, of King port, Tenn., was maid of hono and wore a gown of Nile gree lace. She taught at Reynolds High School last year, and will teach this coming year at South Charleston High School. Mr. Thomas is a 1956 graduate of North Carolina State College, Raleigh, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Faternity. He did graduate work at Columbia Uni versity, and spent two years at the Aripy Chemical Center in Maryland.
