Course Change
For Korea Vets
Liberalized
Due to a liberalization by recent
congressional action, a veteran |
taking training under the Korea
GI bill can now advance from high
?school to college, or from college
to a graduate degree in the same
field, without being charged with
a change of course.
This was announced by the
Veterans Administration.
The veteran must continue to
j study in the same field and the
course taken previously must be
u prerequisite, or ofte generally
required for entrance to the more
advanced course, if the advance
ment is not to be counted as a
change of course.
In the past, a veteran who made
application for a training pro
p.ram to include a bachelor's de
gree was charged with a change
cf course if he later decided to go
on for a master's degree. The
basic Korea GI bill permits a
veteran only one change of course. j
VA said there is no retroactive \
provision in the new law. How- ;
ever, veterans who have been out
of training for more than 12 con- j
secutive months because they had ,
been denied a more advanced pro- 1
gram of study may re-enter train- j
ir.g in the advanced course now, '
if they request it.
Veterans who failed to request
continuation of their training and
have been out of training more
than 12 months, may request re
entrance into the advanced course,
if they can show evidence that
their Interruption of training was
due to conditions beyond their
control.

Imagine a truck ride so smooth and cushioned that fragile loads can travel the worst "wash
board" roads with ease. Imagine a truck ride that virtually eliminates shimmy and wheel fight,
cuts side sway on curves, makes steering far steadier and easier, keeps drivers far fresher.
Imagine a truck ride that permits higher safe cruising speeds, more trips per day with all kinds
of cargo over every type of road surface. Imagine a ride that keeps up to 78% of all objection
able road shock and vibration from ever reaching the driver and cargo, a design that sharply
reduces twisting and fatigue forces on chassis, cabs and bodies, that keeps trucks young for
extra thousands of miles. /. Soon you won't have to just imagine such a ride. You can try it for
yourself in the trucks that do the next best thing to paving every road in America? new Chevrolet
trucks for 1960. You'll see what happens when Chevy's truck engineers design a whole new line of
* \
trucks around a whole new kind of torsion-spring suspension. These trucks are new from the ride
on up? with wonderfully roomier cabs, brawnier frames, style that's fresh as sixty
and more! Don't decide on any new truck till you see the newest of all.
