Mrs Cochran, as housing and house furnishings leader, gave the dem onstration on the care of furni ture. Mr. and Mrs. George Raby and children helped entertain Mrs. Raby's father, Tom Hooper, of Sylva. with a surprise birthday supper Tuesday night. Road Work Is Listed I For Month Sections of nine Macon County roads were strengthened with ad ditional stone last month by the State Highway Department's 14th Division. Roads improved with stone are 0.4 mile of Dowdle Mountain Road: 0.6 mile of Jones Creek Road; 0.7 mile of Hickory Knoll Road; 1 mile of Clark's Chapel Road; 0.3 mile of Deal Road; 1 mile of Mlncy Road; 0.21 mile of Turtle Road; 0.3 mile of Sam Waters Road; and 0.4 mile of Camp Branch Road. Airman McCall Sent To Korea OS AN AB. OS AN, KOREA ? Airman First Class James A. Mr Call. son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. McCall, Sr.. recently arrived at Osan Air Base. Korea. He is assigned to the 6314th Support Squadron as an admin istrative Clerk. A native of Franklin, Airman McCall was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., prior to coming here. The Airman along with thou sands of other 5th Air Force per sonnel under the Pacific Air Force, will help to maintain the peace and be on constant alert against aggression. The 6314th Support Squadron to which he is assigned, is part of the 31st Air Division. The 31st, with its headquarters at Osan Air Base. "Freedom's Frontier", is charged with the responsibility of keeping the peace through air defense operations throughout Korea. The 314th is also helping the Republic of Korean Air Force to develop self sufficient training programs and to build an effec tive air defense force. Airman McCall, who attended Franklin High School, is married to the former Miss Sue Ledford. of Franklin. They have two chil dren, both girls. Words We All Like To Hear About Ourselves, PERFECT!
