Thursday. Mrs. C. T. Bryson sub
stituted for her.
Give Program
Sunday night, the Cullasaja 4-H
Club gave a program entitled
"Faith Is a Family Affair" at the
Training Union meeting at Sugar
fork Baptist Church.
The program was directed by
Mrs. Vernon Bryson, 4-H leader.
The 4-H members participating
were Melba Bryson, Linda Moore,
Jessie Marie Mashburn. Carol.
Janice and Annette Thompson.
Wanda Bailey and Janice Tomp
son were in charge of the music.
Mrs. Vernon Bryson led the open
ing prayer.
Meeting Planned
Plans are being made by the
Hlgdonville Community Develop
ment Organization for a program
on "Safety" at Its April 7 meeting,
which will be held at the school
at 7:30. They have invited R. V.
Hooper, state license examiner, as
guest speaker. Interested persons
are Invited to attend.

Gets Fellowship
William Howard Wilkic, Jr., son
of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard
Wilkie, of Skyland, has reoeived
an Atomic Energy Commission
fellowship for graduate study at
Vanderbilt University, Nashville,
Tenn., beginning this fall.
He is now enrolled in the Grad
uate School of North Carolina
State College, Raleigh, where he
was graduated with high honors
February l. He received a Bachelor
?of Science degree in engineering
mathematics.
Mr. Wilkie Is a grandson of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hlgdon, of
Higdonville, and is a nephew of
Mrs. C. T. Bryson. of Cullasaja
His. parents are both native Mar
conians.
H. D. Meeting
The meeting of the Higdonville
Home Demonstration Club, set for
last week, was postponed because
of the funeral of Charles B. Bry
son.
The meeting will be held today
(Thursday), starting at 1:30 p.m..
at the home of Mrs. Ann Berry.
This will be a make-up meeting
for February.

Crisp Infant Dies
In Areata, Calif.
John Edward Crisp, infant son
of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes E. Crisp,
of Areata, Calif., died March 16.
The maternal grandparents are
Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace, of
Franklin, Route 1.
Also surviving are two sisters,
Carolyn and Barbara. Funeral
srvices were held the 17th in
Areata.

at Angel Hospital for the treat
ment of a broken hip, were her
niece, Mrs. Howard Wilkie, and
Mr. Wilkie. of Skyland. Mr. and
Mrs. Wilkie also visited Mr. and
Mrs. C. T. Bryson while here.
