Happenin's About Clark's Chapel MRS. EMMA RAY Staff Correspondent Foindntn Memorial A memorial service for the late Rev. Robert Poindexter was held at the Clark's Chapel Methodist Church Sunday morning. A large erowd attended the service from the Franklin circuit. Tributes were given by Wiley Clark, of Bethel; Dry-man's Chapel, Mrs. Verna Henry: Hickory Knoll, R. h. Hoglen; Clark's Chapel, Ardell Cabe. Dr. L. B Hayes, preached the sermon: Mrs. Poindexter, his wife, Mr. and Mis Paul Swafford, end Mr. Verlon Poindexter and son, Bobby, attended the service. Well's Grove prayer meeting Will be held Friday night at 7:30 at the home of Mrs. Grover Bar rett. Women Organizing The women of the Clark's Chapel church will meet Friday night. April 8, at 7 o'clock to or ganize a Women's Society of Christian Service. All of the women of the community are in vited to attend. Officers will be elected. Personals Pvt. Charles Wells has returned to his base at Port Gordon, Ga? after spending a three-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Wells, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Stephens have returned to their home in Santa Rosa, Cal., after spending some time with relatives. Mrs. Ray Vanhook has return ed to her home after spending several days in the C. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rollins, of Hmh Point, announce the arrival of a son, David William. March 20. Mrs. Rollins is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lackey. Nantahala's All-Star basketball team lost to the Kalmia Dairy team 48-46 in the Class B. division playoffs of the Invitational Bas ketball Tourney at Clyde' Monday night. Mr and Mrs. Zeb Morgan are geeting their new home underway in the Hampton Branch section. Verlis C Wishon, who has been working in Atlanta, Ga., was ad mitted to District Memorial Hos pital at Andrews Sunday. Mrs. Warren Owenby and sons.
