Pallbearers were Dr. Frank Morrison, Jr., the Rev. Jarvis Brock, Don Morrison, Jr., Grady McGalia, Carl Dean, and Felix Picklesimer. Survivors include the hus band; one daughter, Mrs. Caro lyn Haywood, of Norfolk, Va.; six brothers, R. G. Morrison, of Hickory, Frank Morrison, Sr., of Waynesville, Clyde Morrison, of High Point, Don Morrison, of Asheboro, and Otis Morrison, of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Scales of Franklin, and Mrs. Felix Picklesimer. of Sylva; and one grandchild. He ex plained that detours could be cut through the mountain to by-pass any places which were ruined by slides. It was also told that a con struction contract for the relo cation of the eight-mile stretch of US 64 between Franklin and Gneiss would be let In 1961. Aerial photos for survey pur poses already have been made on this stretch, the engineer said, and a survey crew prob ably will begin groundwork this summer.
