The Rldgecrest Baptist Church
is engaged in a revival this week
under the leadership of the Rev.
James Downs, of Canton. Services
start nightly at 7:30 o'clock.
The Rldgecrest Baptist Church
closed its ten day vacation Bible
School Saturday night with its
commencement exercises. After
the exercises the school held pen
house and showed the exhibits
made by the pupils. Refreshments
were served by the intermediate
class. The school had u total en
rollment of 62 pupils with an
average daily attendance of 59,
according to the principal, Mrs.
John Smith.
The Watauga Baptist Church
reelected the Rev. W. K. Shields
to serve as its pastor for the
coming year.
The Ridgecrest Baptist Church
elected officers and teachers for
the Sunday School and Training

home of Mrs. Ralph Cassada with
11 members present. The devo

the special request of the club
members the home agent. Mrs.
Florence S. Sherrill, gave the
demonstration showing how to
make the plain and fancy yeast
breads. A good and profitable time
was enjoyed by all. The next meetr
ing will be held with Mrs. Arley
Henderson.
