Ordination Held
An ordination service was held
at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church
Sunday afternoon to ordain Law
son Snyder, a member of the
Ridgecrest church, to the ministry.
With the help of the association's
ordination committee, a presbytery
was formed to examine Mr.
Snyder. The service followed with
the Rev. Arvll Swafford bringing
the charge to the candidate and
the Rev. W. L. Sorrells bringing
the charge to the church. The
Rev. Thad R. Dowdle presented
Mr. Snyder with a Bible. The
Rev. Lee Crawford and the Rev.
Bill Shields led in prayer. The

Thirty-three people were present
for the "family night" picnic of
the Ridgecrest Home Demonstra
tion Club. The picnic was held
Saturday night at the Crawford
picnic area.
Party Held
A party was given Miss Glenda
Tippett honoring her on her 15th
birthday by her sister, Mrs. Paul
Judso'n Kinsland, Jr., at Mrs.
Kinsland's home. Games were
played and the honoree was pre
sented with gifts. A variety of
refreshments was served. Assisting
the hostess was Miss Coleen
Clouse. Present in addition to the
honoree were Milbern Clouse,
Homer Morgan, Wayne Tallent,
Bruce Hedden, Steve Buchanan.
