Symphony Membership Drive Opening Today Today (Thursday! the Macon Ociunty Chapter oi the North Carolina Symphony Society be gins its annual membership drive. This spring, two concerts will be given by the symphony in Franklin. The evening concert will be open to all members of the I North Carolina Symphony Society . A free educational matinee de signed for school children will be presented in the afternoon. Mem bership in the symphony s:ciety also entitles the subscriber to at tend any of approximately 40 other membership concerts to be given during the coming season 1 throughout the state. ! Last year locally purchased \ memberships helped bring the or chestra to mere than 2.500 Macon County children in addition to 111,000 others throughout North Carolina.
