WANTS TO HEAR FROM ALL THE CANDIDATES Hemp, N. C., May 8, 1922 Editor Moore County News: I have read with deep interest the Resolutions passed by the North Caro lina Federation of Women’s Clubs, in session at Greensboro, and believe them to be highly commendable. I should like to voice the sentiments I have heard expressed by many Moore county women, to the effect that we should like to know the stand taken by each man who has announced his candidacy for office in this county, in regard to better laws and lavv en forcement, especially as to whether, if elected, he will pledge himself to sup port the Constitution of the United States, including the 18th amendment. In plain English we want to know what pledge each candidate will offer if elected, to enforce our laws. Law lessness is gaining ground; our roads are becoming unsafe to travel and we must have men in office who will en force our laws. We want to know just where each candidate stands on this matter. One candidate, whose past record bears out his present promises, is Ed- pr R. Brown, for Sheriff. Mr. Brown is a determined, fearless man, who niakes no compromise with evil, and whose record as a private citizen, revenue officer and magistrate shows his determination and ability to cope with lawlessness. The women of this county would iike to hear from each candidate on this important topic. Are you wet or LOUISA REA WILSON. (Adv.) It. The wise candidate is the one who comes out on a platform of more than one spring bonnet a season. Radio will probably never be popu lar with politicians. IT ALL TELLS THE SAME TALE The New Orchards are merely the forerun ner of the More New Orchards that will be stimu lated by the peach crop that will be harvested in July and August. Don’t go on the theory that when the fall expansion begins you can get a location as easy as you can get one now. Every body is as well aware as you are what this all means. The for tunate owners who have peach sites now KNOW their value, and will not be giving them away in the fall. People who in the fall conclude they want to buy will find that they have waited for the crowd to be in the market. A NUMBER OF GOOD LOCATIONS ARE STILL AVAILABLE ON EDGENOORE HEIGHTS And nothing in the Peach Belt is superior in any way to the EDGEMOORE PEACH LAND. There will be ONE OF THE GREAT ORCHARD DEVELOPMENTS of the Sandhills, and the man who gets in will be a fortunate chap. Look over some of the Edgemoore lands.
