Mrs. Mary Bynum is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. T. R. Moffit, at Sanford. Mr. W. Curtis McLeod came down from Carthage to spend Wednesday night with Mr. Stacy Brewer. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cameron were the guests of relatives in Sanford the past week-end. Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Smith went to Sanford last Sunday to attend the Childrens’ Day exercises at the M. E. church. Mr. and Mrs. A. Cameron went to Durham Tuesday for a visit to Mr. D. B. Cameron, who is ill at his home there. Mr. Arthur Thompson has accept ed a position with the Lakeview Store Company. Misses Ileen and Louine McFadyen, of Upper Hoke were the guests of Misses Eva and Lillian Oldham last Saturday. Mrs. A. B. Johnson, of Lemon Springs, visited at the home of her nephew, Mr. T. K. Beasley, of Apex, paid a visit to the Pilot Office last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Hanes and Miss Ollie Shields motored to Fayetteville and Laurinburg on Friday of last "Week. This car was built for the Balti- JJiore & Ohio, and is one of a number being used on various roads, alid is a very handsome, well planned coach. tyson-cameron In the presence-of a few relatives and friends, a very quiet but beauti ful wedding was sloemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, Wednes day evening at 7 o’clock, when Miss Edith Cameron become the bride of Mr. C. Landon Tyson, Rev. L. H. Joyner, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. The parlor was charmingly decorat ed with ferns and spring flowers. The little flower girls. Misses Louise Les lie and Katharine Graham, nieces of the bride, preceded the couple, who entered to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs. L. C. Wallace, of Carthage, sister of the groom. The bride was tastefully attired in a beautiful blue traveling suit with ac cessories to match. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.* {Angnis Cameron. Mr. Tyson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tyson, and holds a position with the Carolina Cadilac Co., at Raleigh, where they will make their home after May 28th. DEATH OF MRS. CLYDE GADDY Following a very brief illness, Mrs. Clyde Gaddy, aged 23 years, die.d Tuesday evening at her home in San ford. Mrs. Gaddy was familiarly known in this community, before her marriage, as Patsy Richardson, and was a native of Moore county, but has resided in Sanford for the past while. Besides her hijlsband and tthree small children she is survived by her father and mother, Mf. and Mrs. John Richardson, of Vass route 1, and two brothers, Messrs. Johnny Lee and Will Richardson, and two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Alexander, and Mrs. George Morgan, also of Vass. The funeral services were at Old Johnson’s Grove church, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock.
