Mr. Charles Cullers, of Lemon Springs is fillin ghis place on the Seaboard as section foreman. Dr. M. L. Matthews, of Sanford, came over Monday to see his sister, Mrs. J. J. Irvin who has an attack of influenza. Katharine and Margaret, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. D. McDonald are re covering from influenza. Master Jack Phillips who has had a slight attack of influenza, is able to be out again. Mrs. G. W. McDermott, of Niagara, come over Monday for a visit to Mr. and Mrs. G. M. McDermott. Mrs. D. S. Ray is visiting Mrs. Ralph Tyson in Carthage. Misses Annie Hartsell, Vera Mc Lean, Thurla Cole, and Mrs. A. L. O’Briant motored to Carthage Friday, calling at the home of Mrs. Sallie Cur rie, rout 1, on their return. Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Monroe and daughter. Dr. Gilbert McLeod, of Carthage, was in town Monday and called to see Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Petty. Mr. J. I. Thomas, of Hamlet, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Thomas. Mrs. R. C. Thomas and daughter- in-law, Mrs. Milton Thomas, celebrat ed their birthdays at a bountiful din ner of substantials and dainties at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Thom as on Sunday, January 28th.
