i Page Two CARTHAGE Home Talent Chautauqua Dedded Success Carthage was delighted with the programs presented by the Home Tal* ent Chautauqua in the High School Auditorium on Wednesday, Thurs day and Fr’day evening of last week, also Friday afternoon. Each program was well attended, and enjoyed. The main features of Chautauqua were: Wednesday even ing there was music and an address by the Miayor, W.H. Currie, the Fashion Revue, put on by the Fashion Shop, was a delight to the feminine eye. The advertising stunts put on by the different business houses in town were interesting. Thursday evening there was an old fashion Min’strel, which was very entertain ing. Friday afternoon the Primary school children gave a program and with most of the parents, that is the mothers, that was the “high spot’* of the Chautauqua, for there were the little folks that had worked so hard, and did their parts so well, all due to the careful training of the patient teachers “behind the Scene.” Friday evening the Round Dozen Music club, and Book Reviewers had charge of the program. Ye Old Time Singing School, put on by the Music club, was good. The play given by the Book Reviewers, in two acts was well rendered, and thoroughly en joyed. .The Carthage Woman’s club, wishes to thank each organization and individual that took part and co operated with them so beautifully, in making the chautauqua a success.
