PICQUET By astounding strides, oil has entered the skyscraper, the in dustrial plant, the ocean-liner . . . and finally the home . . . to become the fuel of the day. Complete combustion obviates dust, grime, soot . . . and makes for genuine economy. Dependable Electro! Oil Burners Heating Systems of Every Type Ls^st week the children of the county were guests of the Southern Pines Theatre, when C. W. Picquet made it possible for them to see a most remarkable picture. Indians are an ever-popular subject with children. The story as it unfolded in the “Si lent Enemy” was a delight to all the youthful spectators. And if applause counted for anything, a high mark of appreciation was reached. It was another one of the educational feat ures Mr. Picquet had made an effort to show, and through him the county is getting an unusual selection of pic tures that are worth while. He has done much to bring to the patrons of the theatre a higher and cleaner type of pictures and a form of entertain ment that reaches every one for a mode^ sum. The movie, like the automobile, ra dio and kindred other things about us, has come a long way, but compare with the future ahead the distance travelled isn’t very far as the recent rapid advances show.
