Rassie Cox visited his brother, A C. Cox, over the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. Worth Miller and daughter, Valeria, left on Friday for a visit to Mr. Miller’s parents at Rock Hill, S. C. Mrs. Alfred Williams and daughter, Mrs. Howe, accompanied by Miss Ba con and Mrs. John McQueen, spent Tuesday in Charlotte. Mrs. Miriam Britt of Dillon, S. C., was the guest of the Misses Mclnnis over the past week-end. Mrs. Minnie Oldham of Pinphurst spent Sunday at the Mclnnis home. Mrs. Robert Wodruff left Tuesday for New York City where she will spend a week or ten days. PINEBLUFF Mrs. A. C. Adcox, Mrs. E. F. Pick ier and Miss Madge Pickier delight fully entertained a few ladies at tea on last Friday afternoon in honor of Mrs. J. W. Pickier, the occasion being her fifty-first birthday. After an hour of pleasant conversation, the hostess served refreshments. The honoree re ceived many lovely and useful gifts. About fifteen ladies enjoyed this oc casion. Mrs, E. L. Pickier entertained at luncheon on Tuesday, honoring Mrs. Lane Kirk. The decorations were in keeping with the Thanksgiving seas on. Those enjoying the hospitality of Mrs. Pickier were as follows: Mrs. Lane Kirk, Mrs. W. K. Carpenter, Mrs. O. C.
