Following the course of study laid down for the year the subject for the afternoon’s program was “Per sia,” and several interesting papers were prepared and read as this rneet- ^ ing as follows: “Persia, as She Is To day” by Mrs. P. P. McCain; “Remains of Old Persia,” by Robert N. Page; “The B&khtirai Tribesman and Grass” by Mts. E. L. Barber. Guests for the meeting were Mrs. Jesse Frink; Mrs. J. D, McLean and Miss Hazel Cobb. It was annouifced that the next meet ing of the Book Club will be held with Mrs. H. W. Doub. An enjoyable social hour followed the meeting during which the hostess served refresh ments.
