Sunday to return to Bartlesville, Ok
lahoma, where he holds a position as
electrical engineer for the Empire Oil

Miss Katharine Murphy of Clinton,
was the week-end guest of her cousin,

Mrs. L. I. Bass has been quite sick
and continue to her home fore the past
week with influenza and chicken pox.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Pleasants, who
were so unfortunate as to lose their
home by fire last week, have moved
their family into the Dr. Bell residence
on Montford street in Aberdeen. Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Swearingen of Car
thage, will make their home with
them for the time being.
W. W. Maurer, Jr., of Asheylle, is
spending a few days in Aberdeen this
week visiting home folks.

Mrs. W. T. Worsham, who lives on
the Pinebluff Road 1 1-2 miles from
Aberdeen, has' installed a Mammoth
Buckeye Incubator to take care of the
baby chick business, and the hatch
ing of eggs for this end of Moora
county. Mrs. Worsham started in the
chick business year before last with
one 250 egg incubator. Last year she
had to install two more 250 egg in
cubators, and then could not supply
the demand, so this year she has put
in a 2,640 egg incubator. She sets
only the Rhode Island Reds from
her own hens, that are to be sold as
day old chicks. She also does custom
hatching. Her birds won Blue Ribbons
at both the Moore County Fair and
the Sandhills Poultry Show. Her place
is known as Bird-Haven Poultry
Farm and Hatchery. She also sells
hatching eggs. Her friends are wish
ing her much succoss in this enter
prise.
