THE WEEK IN VASS
Mrs. Gice Allen and little son, Gice,
Jr., of Allen, and Miss Ruth McNeill,
who is teachings at Mint Hill near
Charlotte spent last week-end with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L,
McNeill. Miss Grace McNeill came
down from Raleigh, where she is in
training at Rex Hospital, just for tiic
day Sunday. Grace is looking well and
is enjoying her work.
W. C. Byrd, Miss Vivian Byrd and
Harold Byrd of Albemarle were week
end visitors in town, W. C. spending
the time with his family at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Keith and the
others with their aunt, Mrs. G. W.
Griffin. The B>Tds were residents of
Vass before moving to Albemarle a
few years ago. Harold, the young
est of the children of Mrs. Irene
Byrd, is a fine looking chap measur
ing six feet in height.
