The newly elected members were also presented with guest prizes. Lineberry delighted the guests with duets on the harp and comb, while m,any other amusing games were en joyed. Mrs. C. L. Jackson made an appropriate talk, and on behalf of the church and Sunday School pre sented Mrs. Lewis with a beautiful bathrobe and bedroom slippers, and also a lovely birthday cake. Home and Garden Club The Home and Garden Club was delightfully entertained last Tuesday afternoon by Mrs. Fred E. Weaver at her home on the Raeford Road. Dur ing the business hour plans were made for the making of a novelty quilt for sale, each member promis ing to make and donate a square. The Planting committee of this club is making plans to beautify some va cant lot in Aberdeen by the planting of shrubbery, etc., the selection of this lot to be chosen later, and they also announced that a number of Aberdeen people have entered the Flower Garden contest put on by this club. Mrs. Stewart Weaver gave an interesting reading on the planting and care of window bcxes, and Mrs. JoWn G. Sloan rendered idielightful piano selections. Special guests in vited in for this meeting were Mrs. W. T. Huntley, Mrs. Garland Far rell, Mrs. T. A. Burns and Mrs. Mar vin Weaver of Aberdeen, together with Mrs. Sammie Matthews of San ford. Egg Hunts Among a series of Easter festivi ties enjoyed by children of Aberdeen was an Easter Egg Hunt last Fri day afternoon given by Miss LaNilta Wimberly for her Sunday-School class of small boys.
