Herman Parker and Vick Keith,
two of this year’s graduates of Vass-
Lakeview High School, went on a
sight-seeing trip to the University at
Chapel Hill and State College at Ral
eigh last Sunday. Herman plans to
enter the University in the fall and
Vick is considering entering one of
these institutions.

Miss Lena Cameron, a student
nurse at St. Leo’s Hospital in Greens
boro, is spending her vacation with
her father, D. A. Cameron, and her

1931 graduate of Vass-Lakeview High

their home in Albemarle after spend
ing a few days with Mrs. Byrd’s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Keith.
Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Brooks of San
ford were in town Sunday evening
calling on Mrs. G. W. Brook and Mrs.
R. G. Copelan. Mrs. Brooks, before
her recent marriage, was Miss May-
belle Nall of Sanford. Mr. Brooks has
many friends in Vass who wish for
him and his bride much happiness.
Mrs. T. Frank Cameron has as her
guest her step-mother, Mrs. Sue Ed-
gerton, of Littleton.
Mrs. Vester Smith and little Fran
ces Ann spent a part of last week
with relatives in Hamlet.
Mrs. Seth W. Lassiter and children,

wards home from Smithfield last
week for a visit of several days.
