The annual picnic of the Community Church Sunday School is being held this Friday evening at Juniper Lake. With anything approaching good weather a large attendance is assur ed as these get-together occasions are very much enjoyed by all ages. The Ladies’ Tri-U class is donating swim ming privileges for all, and will con tribute ice cream as the climax to the supper. Dr. and Mrs. Norman Hardin and small daughter, of Greensboro were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Hardin at their home on Midland road. Pete Pender and F. W. VonCannon left Tuesday night for a brief busi ness trip to New York. After a visit of several weeks here with her sister-in-law. Miss Edith Kennedy, Mrs. Joe Kennedy left Miss Dora Gray, a popular employe of the Pinehurst Warehouses for sev eral years, went to Greensboro the latter part of the week where she will take up similar work with the Morrison-Neese Furniture Co. Miss Lalan Patterson is with her parents at Jackson Springs for a va cation. Miss Bernice Burton has returned to Pinehurst after spending two weeks with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas H. Burton in Tampa, Flor ida. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Dupont and sons, Peter and Bobby left Thurs day for Milton, N. H. They motored up and plan to be away for a month. A. N. Glasspool of White Plains, N. Y., came Saturday to spend some time visiting his sisters, Mrs. Ellis Fields and Mrs. Charles Fields.
