On his return home he was accompanied by Mrs. Medlin and little Gloria Gray, who have been visiting relatives in that section for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Knight of Ham let spent last Sunday in Aberdeen visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Knight. Edgar Bowman o^ the Carolina Discount force, is taking his vacation and is spending some time in Atlan ta, Ga., visiting his grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. John T. Ellis of High Point were guests of their sisters, Mrs. E. P. Capps and Miss Lillian Pleasants for several days last week. Misses Annie Belle Thompson, Christine Allred, Edna Maurer and Pearle McMillan are spending some time at Wrightsville Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Campbell of Charlotte motored to Aberdeen on Sunday to visit in the home of John T. Harrington. Mr. and Mrs. Murdoch Johnson and children and Miss Mary Johnson mo tored to Bethune, S. C., last Sunday to spend the day with Murdoch John son’s father, H. T. Johnson. Mrs. Ed. Muse and Mrs. Ella Burns of Carthage spent the day in Aber deen last Thursday visiting their sis ter, Mrs. W. V. Carter. The Rev. and Mrs. E. L. Sloan spent last Sunday afternoon visiting at the County Home. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Spooner and Mrs. Gilbert Joyner of Wilmington were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Spooner over the last week-end. Mrs. Fred Henry, who has been a recent patient in the Hamlec Hospi tal, has so far recovered she was able to return home last week. She was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Ellerbe of Rockingham. Mrs. Wimberly Bowman and chil dren left last week for Lewiston to spend the summer months with Mr. Bowman, who will have his head quarters there for some time. Mrs. Annie Jones, who has been visiting relatives in Rocky Mount and Raleigh, stopped over in Aberdeen with Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Sloan last week en route to her home at Bates- burg, S. C. Little Miss Letha Creel spent last Sunday in Southern Pines visiting her father, Charlie Creel. Mrs. Winnie Dodge of Southern Pines was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Wicker on last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Brasington and children, Clayton, Jr., and Gra ham, are spending a few days this week visiting Mr. Brasington’s sister in Winston-Salem. Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Looney of Bur lington were guests of Mrs. Mary Campbell last Saturday. Mr. Looney will be remembered by friends in town as former Western Union operator here. Mrs. R. P. Browne of Victoria, Vir ginia and Mrs. Arthur McNeill of Manly were guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Windham. Miss Elizabeth Murphy has return ed from a visit with relatives in Southern Pines.
