Woman’s Club Meets A one-act play, “Reading or Cro cheting,” was the main feature of the interesting program given by the lit erary department at the regular monthly meeting pf the Woman's Club which was held on last Friday evening in the club room. The play set forth in a convincing way the value of a county library and the cast of characters was as follows: Mrs. Mc Gregor, Mrs. H. A. Borst; Ann and Lucy McGreg’ior, her daughters, Eliz abeth McCraney and Elizabeth Keith; Mrs. Sampson, a neighbor, Miss Net tie Gschwind. Mrs. Sampson, who spent her spare time crocheting, was suspicious of things that you get “free for nothing,” but she was fin ally convinced by the McGregor fam ily of the real educational value of the books obtained from the library. A short reading was given by Mrs. W. D. Matthews. - * - i The attendance at the meeting was unusually large. Following the pro gram, a delightful social hour was directed by Mrs. John Gaddy and Mrs. C, J. Temple. Prizes in the Con tests were awarded Miss Elizabeth Keith and Mrs. H. A. B|Orst. Mrs. Borst presented her prize to Miss Elizabeth McCraney. Refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. A. M. Cameron, Mrs. Bertie L. Matthews, Mrs. C. L. Tyson and Mi's. G. W. Grif fin. Dr. J. I.
